Moving
At Warp Speed
This has already been a banner year for the Side Hill Cronchers. We have moved into warp speed with our new website, warming hut and a long list of activities for the club. And so far mother nature has done her best to give us the snow we need to make this a great season. It’s been awhile since we sent out our last news letter but that doesn’t mean we’ve been idle. So just in case you haven’t been checking our new and improved web-site, here’s what’s going on. We have the best warming hut (and
the only one in the state of On Saturday and Sunday January 3rd & 4th we had the folks from “Exit 9 Motor Sports” up at the warming hut giving Arctic Cat demo rides. This was a first for us and it was a great success. We had about 200 people show up over the weekend and a lot of people take the test drive of the new sleds. On Saturday January 10th, We had “Outdoors In Motion” giving Polaris Demo rides and again it was a big success. Lots of people showed up and did the test drive. If you check the website for events you will find we have several more demo rides scheduled so this is your chance to try out other brands of sleds, meet some new people, get information and just have fun. We also have Saturday evening “Night Rides” scheduled every week for those of
you who would love to try going for a ride at night but don’t know the trail
system well enough. This is a really
great event for the club. It allows
people new to night riding the chance to go out with others and be able to
relax a little and enjoy the ride without the worry of getting lost. They meet at the warming hut on Saturday
nights at The sheriff’s department “was” scheduled to be up at
the hut on January 24th for anyone who needed to get their sled
inspected. This was planned to be a
great way for the club to build a good working relationship with the Sheriff’s
department and make it easier for our members to get their sleds
inspected. Unfortunately we are forced
to cancel this event because of a misunderstanding with a Thanks to all our club volunteers and Groomers, the trails are in great shape. Remember all the club activities, events, trail maintenance and grooming is being done by volunteers. If you enjoy being a member of this club, please consider being an active member. A little help goes a long way. |
